Welcome to the united parish of Aldborough, Boroughbridge, Dunsforth, Minskip and Roecliffe.
We’re a very welcoming Church community based in North Yorkshire. The historic town of Boroughbridge lies at the geographical centre of the five communities, and is also where the Vicarage is located. From here the other four communities radiate, with Dunsforth being the furthest, at about three miles away.
URGENT! We currently need someone with administrative skills, who is computer literate, to act as our parish secretary and secretary to the UPCC. If you can help, please contact Rev Diane or a churchwarden for more info.
We have services including – Communion, All-Age Worship, and Choral Evensong. Services are Sunday and midweek Wednesday.
We also have many other events running throughout the year – a selection of these events are: Kid’s Easter fun club, Annual Art exhibition, Christmas Fayre, Minskip Midsummer Fete, Dunsforth Country Fair, and Regular Coffee Mornings at St James’ Church (usually on the first Saturday of the month)
The work of the Church extends beyond the building with our Eucharist group providing Communion in the home and various care homes in the town and our vicar doing home and hospital visiting. We have a regular choir (adult and junior) and bell ringers.
See the Services & Events page for details of what’s on. For most enquiries, including weddings and baptisms, please contact the vicar, Rev. Diane Westmoreland. Other contacts, including churchwardens for the individual churches, are shown on the Who’s Who page.
The Parish Records are held by North Yorkshire County Council at The Record Office, Malpas Road, Northallerton, DL7 8TB, Tel 01609 777585, Fax 01609 777078. See NYCC Website for more details.
