All Saints’, Kirby Hill to St James’, Boroughbridge – This morning, 26 of us took part in a very successful joint venture between the two churches, ending up with much-appreciated refreshments at St James’.  It was the first event of the Walkers are Welcome Easter Walking Festival in the town.

A QUIZ NIGHT will be held in Roecliffe on Tuesday, March 20th at 7.30pm in the Crown Inn. Please don’t arrive until 7.15pm at the earliest since the Church Annual Meeting might not have finished.

Clipping the Church at St James’ on 11th March. Clipping the church is an ancient English custom. The word “clipping” is Anglo-Saxon in origin, and is derived from the word “clyppan”, meaning “embrace” or “clasp”.
