A ROMAN BURIAL: THE STORY OF THE HUNDAYFIELD LEAD COFFIN
St Mary’s Church Dunsforth 7pm for 7:30pm, on Thursday 21st February. The discovery of a very rare Romano-British burial in 2007 has provided great insight into how people lived and died during the period of the Roman occupation. Nick Wilson will talk us through the find & answer questions – was this a person from the Empire who ended up in Yorkshire or was it a native Briton who chose to buried in a distinctly Roman fashion?
