19th September, 4pm

I am the Vine:

Growing and Planting

Activities will include planting, bracelet making, vegetable modelling, bookmark making, icing painting, leaf decorating, story, song and tea for everyone with jacket potatoes and fruit crumble all for FREE.

Bring your friends – see you there!

What is Messy Church?

Messy Church is a kind of Church experience that focuses on creativity, celebration and hospitality! Anyone is welcome to attend. Most of the activities are aimed at children and young people 0-13 but we always make sure there is something for older young people and adults too. Creativity is for everyone!

What happens at Messy Church?

All kinds of things!

We start with lots of craft activities connected with the theme. These might involve making, thinking, decorating, exploring or experimenting by painting, sticking, pouring, writing, colouring, eating and more! You will always have something to take home with you! Parents can join in with the activities and enjoy a cup of tea 😊After the messy time, we gather together for a story connected to our theme, a song and a prayer. We finish with a party tea, so you don’t even have to cook tea that night!

Do I have to book?

No – just turn up! We’d love to see you. If you enjoy yourselves – tell your friends!

What does it cost?

Messy Church is free to attend! There is a pot for donations for people to contribute what they are able, so we can continue to resource Messy Church and make it free for those who might otherwise struggle to attend.

What if one of us has special needs?

We aim to be as inclusive as possible and actively welcome neurodiverse people and any with physical or learning disabilities. We have a ramp and accessible toilet. We are a nut free Church and label food so you know it is safe to eat. If you are concerned we might not be able to meet your needs, get in touch and we’ll talk things through with you.

Any Other questions?

Do contact us with any questions through our Facebook page at Boroughbridge Churches or contact Rev Karen direct via the web link or on 01423 326518.

Change of service schedule this Sunday

This coming Sunday, 22nd August, due to various people being away (various potential ministers and many potential congregants!) we are just going to join together for one service of Holy Communion at St James at 10am. I would be very grateful if you could pass on this information to anyone who might not know – hopefully we can avoid anyone turning up disappointed to one of our other Churches.
