Welcome to the United Parish of Aldborough, Boroughbridge, Dunsforth, Minskip and Roecliffe

We hope you will find everything you need on this website to begin to get to know us better.

Following the extreme disruption of the COVID pandemic, and taking into account the potential uncertainty of the future, we are pleased to be starting a new plan from July which includes a number of new, as well as firmly established, services. You can be assured that our services will comply with government and Church of England law and guidance, as well as our own Parish “keeping safe” policy and risk assessments.

As well as all our special events and festivals, our service pattern now includes:

  • Whole Parish Services on the first Sunday of each month: These will interactive Holy Communion services suitable for all ages, with a choir and a different theme and venue each month. We are looking forwards to the opportunity to worship together more regularly.
  • Messy Church: New at St James’, Boroughbridge on the 3rd Sunday of each month. See the latest news section for more information!
  • Songs of Praise services: twice a month
  • Holy Communion services: each Sunday morning within our United Parish
  • Occasional Sung Evensong

Please see the services page for details of all upcoming church services. We will also continue to keep an online presence through some recorded services and some Zoom services.

We are pleased to be able to offer all the important rites of passage again (christenings, weddings, funerals and memorial services) and welcome enquiries about these.

We are also continuing to support the charities Resurrected Bites and Ripon City of Sanctuary, as well as working closely with our Church of England School in Roecliffe.

Do enjoy exploring this website!

Warmest wishes, Rev Karen
